what you can expect during your session

You can expect the utmost care and consideration during your session.

If there is anything you need within the scope of professional care to feel more comfortable during your session, please let your bodywork therapist know at any time. Our goal is to best accommodate you in what makes you feel safe.

Arrival

  • When you arrive, your bodywork therapist will greet you at the door and bring you to the treatment space.

  • If you need to use the restroom when you arrive, this is a good time to do it before we get to the treatment room.

  • And, of course, you can use the restroom anytime. If you need to during the session, please say so. We will pause so you can dress and do so.

Session

  • We’ll begin your treatment with a verbal check-in on how you feel mentally and physically.

    • This is a great time to share what you want the focus of your session to be. Please let us know if there are any areas of your body you don’t want to be touched, e.g., your face, your feet, your head, or your glute muscle.

    • I will ask you what you want to feel after your session so you can set the intention together.

  • I will let you know the plan for the session, whether you first lie face up or face down, where we will incorporate breathwork and guided meditation, and the areas I will focus on.

  • I will leave the room so you can undress to your comfort level.

  • While you are settling on the table, I will wash my hands.

  • After several minutes, I will knock gently on the door and ask if you are ready before I enter. If you are not, please say so. I will continue to wait and ask again in a bit.

  • When you say you are ready, I will enter the room and begin your session.

  • Once the session is over, I will gently let you know the session is complete, to get up in your own time, and that when you are dressed and ready to crack the door.

    • You can take as much time as you need before you get up. You can take as much time as you need before you get up.

  • Once you crack the door, I will bring you water to help you begin to flush your system from your session.

After Session

  • We will discuss how your session went and how your body feels.

  • And we’ll schedule your next session!

Remember, this is your session. Please let us know if you want to add anything to the Evergreen routine within the scope of professional care to make you feel more comfortable and safe.

We honor and encourage communication.
